As a seasoned past practicing financial planner and counselor, my approach is detail oriented, and I have the ability to communicate clearly by discussion or the written word. Furthermore, I create understanding of unfamiliar or complex subjects by transferring knowledge using plain language, and understandable instruction.

A personal financial educator and counselor is very different from the rest of the financial services industry. Many of the other money service practitioners are actually some form of financial salesman. They get paid by commissions, AUM (assets under management-actually just a different kind of commission), flat fees for certain services performed, or some combination of these. These financial 'pros' usually go in a wide generic sweep. They want to get money to manage and sell stuff. This does not mean they are bad people in what they offer, it is just the reality of the playing field in which they operate.
I am paid directly by the client for sessions that create lifelong personal development. This is done by taking someone from where they are at, to where they want to go. As a coach, I go way deep, acting as an outside third party, totally objective counselor to them. It is an uplifting, support oriented, professional relationship. It is built on trust, because a person knows that I care what is in their heart and mind, which is just as important as their circumstances. They sense I am interested only in them, their welfare, and have no products to sell. There are zero hidden agendas, and all services are customized to each client's unique needs.

In my past professional status, I was a licensed financial advisor, insurance agent, and Registered Financial Consultant for 22 years. Core clientele was made up of individuals, families, and small/medium sized business owners. Within the former advisory service work over the years, I have collaborated with many attorneys and Certified Public Accountants on behalf of client interests. Additionally, at the same time, along side of my financial advisory practice I maintained a pro-bono counseling load of helping people in financial distress. Furthermore, for over 20 years I allowed Christian Financial Concepts Ministry (Late founder, Larry Burkett--now Crown Financial Ministries), to refer local area couples directly to me for assistance.

Married to Mary Lou, the bride of my youth for over 40 years, together we have raised three now grown and married daughters. From these families we have been blessed with a total of nine grandchildren. Now that is called real life experience!
